This year’s expo will cover an exhibit area of 10,000 square meters. Pharmaceutical companies, health care product companies and makers of health wines and health food will take part.
Bozhou is the hometown of Hua Tuo, the first famous Chinese surgeon living in the Eastern Han Dynasty, 127-208 BC. He developed WUQINXI (a series of exercises based on movements of the tiger, deer, bear, ape, and crane) to help people maintain physical fitness and internal health. This year’s expo will include up to 5,000 people using WUQINXI and Chinese Qigong, a system of deep breathing exercises.
Bozhou is also home to famous historic figures of Lao Tzu (a central figure in Taoism), Chuang Tzu (370-301 BC, an influential Chinese philosopher) and Cao Cao (155-220, a warlord and the penultimate Chancellor of the Eastern Han Dynasty).
