Foreign Students in Yun Nan

“ For me, China is not only a country, it is more like another new world.” An Xile, who is from Sri Lanka and can speak fluent Chinese, is a grade three student in Yunnan University of Finance and Economics.

Before coming to China, An Xile has graduated from a univeristy and works as a Japanese teacher in middle school. “I have learned Japanese for five years and have prepared to apply for Tokyo University at that time. Accidently, I got a chince to study in China.” Thus , with curiosity and expectation, An started his studying in Yun Nan .

As a chinese learner, An has deep understanding to the Chinese mania in his country. When he started learning chinese in 2012, there are a few people who can speak chinese in Sri Lanka. But now, over four years, there is an increasing number of people who learn chinese in his country. Now there four universities that set chinese language courses. An said that the reason is easy: china is developing rapidly in economy , the marketing is expanding day by day. And thus the cooperation with Sri Lanka is expanding in every aspects.” For himself, the experience of chinese language learning has brought him more  opportunities. In the fourth South-Asia Expo , as a volunteer in the team, An Xile served the exhibitor with langauge advantage and had got unanimous praise. Additionally, he has set up first chinese training school in Sri Lnka---“Xile Training School”.
