2014 Shanghai Summer School Activity—Chinese Martial Art Show

    Nearly half of Chinese Medicine Courses of 2014 Shanghai Summer School Chinese Medicine Course has passed at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The International Education College, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has arranged a variety of colorful activities for international students to experience Chinese culture. “Chinese Martial Arts show” is one of the most interesting one. 

　　After an introduction to the history of Chinese Martial Arts and different styles and schools, , the Chinese Martial Art Team of the University (one of the best university martial art teams across China) shocked international students with their exquisite skills. Tai Chi, flexible with hard; double whip, sword show and so on. They’ve never seen such amazing show before.

　　In the interactive sessions, international students picked out some members from the Martial Art team as their temporary coach, to teach Chinese martial arts. Boys are more interested in Southern Fist, girls prefer soft Tai Chi, and some students are more interested in handled weapons. 

　　Although students cannot learn much in such a short time, , when they see their postures in the mirror, they are all very excited.

　　International students were reluctant to leave after the Chinese martial arts show  and experience activity.Finally, students and members of the martial art team  hade PROM, and exchanged contact information. They hope to have further opportunity to learn more in the future..
