The opening ceremony of the  international seminar “ The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and  Sino-Indonesian Strategic Cooperation” held in CCNU

On April  25th, the international seminar “ The 21st Century  Maritime Silk Road and Sino-Indonesian Strategic Cooperationco-sponsored by CCNU  and China Society for Southeast Asian Studies(CSSAS) was held in the Science  Hall. The opening ceremony of the seminar was hosted by Prof. Wei Hong, the vice  president of the Institute of Political Science of Central China Normal

University(CCNU) and director of Indonesian studies of Central China Normal  University.

At the beginning, the Vice president of  CCNU,Huang Yonglin gave a brief introduction of CCNU. He emphasized the rapid  development of the internationalization in CCNU and the long history of the cooperation between CCNU and Indonesia.

Later, Tang Min ,the president of  CCNU Institute of Political Science  delivered a speech about the basic information  of Wuhan and the Institute of Political Science of CCNU. He described Wuhan as a  city located in central China, occupying large area and with numerous lakes. He  also mentioned that always standing on the front-line is one of the typical  characteristics of CCNU Institute of Political Science .

Then ,Prof.Li Yiping, the director of the  School of International Relations of Xiamen University hoped that the  cooperation of both sides could develop from the coast to the inland area and mentioned the significance and advantages of the collaboration  between CCNU and Indonesia.

Finally, Mr. Nur Kholis, the chairman of the  Indonesian National Commission on Human Rights gave a speech about the  cooperation between China and Indonesia on human rights and business.  

In two days, three issues will be discussed  in the conference, which are “Opportunities and Challenges of the  21st Century Maritime Silk Road” “China-ASEAN(Association of  Southeast Asian Nations) Cooperation with the development of the 21st  Century Maritime Silk Road” and “The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road  and Sino-Indonesian Strategic Cooperation”.
