Students from Macao, HK explore Beijing

One hundred students from 16 universities from Hong Kong and Macao are visiting Beijing toexperience the life and culture of the capital through July 26, sponsored by the Chinese Ministryof Culture, the Hong Kong United Youth Association and the Macao Foundation.

Over a month, the students will work as interns at such arts and culture venues as the NationalLibrary, National Museum, the Palace Museum, National Museum of Art, China Film Museumand others.

They will also visit universities and have discussions with student counterparts in Beijing.

The annual summer program started in 2005 to help young people from Hong Kong and Macaoto know more about the Chinese mainland and to promote the mutual understanding betweenstudents from the Chinese mainland and from Hong Kong and Macao.
