Learn Chinese online - How to talk about sports in Chinese

上周我们去爬山了(shàng zhōu wǒ men qù pá shān le)。虽然我很喜欢爬山(suī rán wǒ hěn xǐ huan pá shān)，但是因为好久没有锻炼了(dàn shì yīn wéi hǎo jiǔ méi yǒu duàn liàn le)，所以我爬得很慢(suǒ yǐ wǒ pá dé hěn màn)。

We went mountain climbing last week. Even though I like mountain climbing a lot,  I climbed slowly because I haven't done any physical exercise for quite a long time.

虽然(suī rán)...但是(dàn shì)... [though/although/even though...but/however...]: Unlike English, in Chinese, we can use the two in the same sentence. Actually, they appeared often as a pair. It's also the same in another phrase here "因为(yīn wéi)...所以(suǒ yǐ)...[because...so...]"
