The Opening of the Class for Indonesian Teachers Held in HNU

On the morning of June 21th, organized by China Overseas Exchange Association, co-organized by COEA Hunan division, the Opening of the class for Indonesian teachers with a bachelor's degree of Chinese language and culture education was held in the College of Education. Present were Jiang Xinmiao, vice president of HNU, Wu Shali, director of Chinese Language and Culture Education Coordination Agency in Djakarta, Indonesia, Yang Ling, dean of International College of Chinese Language and Culture of HNU, Li Xianghua, deputy director of Assessment and Promotion Division of HNU and Tang Xiuli, deputy director of International Exchange and Cooperation. Shen Min, vice dean of International College of Chinese Language and Culture, presided over the ceremony.
 
On behalf of HNU, Vice President Jiang extended his warm welcome to the class members. He related that with the surging of mandarin fever around the globe, Chinese language and culture education has entered a historic phase enjoying opportunities to transform and upgrade, hence brighter prospects for CLCE and greater responsibilities for the teachers. Indonesian teachers in this class would infuse a new driving force and vitality into the CLCE in Indonesia. He then briefed on the general and relevant development of HNU and Chinese Language and Culture Education Base. He remarked that HNU would continue to support CLCE in Indonesia and take more actions to advance its development.
 
On behalf of CLCECA in Djakarta and Indonesian teachers in this class, Director Wu Shali expressed her heartfelt gratitude to China Overseas Exchange Association, HNU and the Chinese teachers in this program. She hoped that all members would learn a lot from this class and contribute to CLCE in Indonesia.
Dean Yang, welcomed all class members and extended her gratitude to relevant departments in HNU, CLCECA in Djakarta all class members. She hoped the joy of learning and teaching would be shared by all, and wished all class members a delightful learning and living experience in Hunan.
The first class for Indonesian teachers with a bachelor's degree of Chinese language and culture education started in 2013. Entrusted by China Overseas Exchange Association, HNU have dispatched five groups of teachers to Indonesia, such as Batam, Singkawang and Djakarta, to teach teachers of Chinese language and culture there. From June 22 to July 10, all the class members will take courses and exams including Chinese Traditional literature, Hunan Culture, A General Introduction to Chinese Language Education, Modern Chinese Grammar, Chinese Arts and Talents, etc. The class will also take part in visiting and communication activities.
